Comparative Market Analysis (CMA)
A Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) is a detailed estimate of a home's likely market value that a real estate agent prepares by studying recent comparable sales, active listings, and current buyer demand in the immediate area. Unlike an automated online estimate, a CMA accounts for the home's condition, updates, and specific location, which is why it is far more reliable for pricing a listing or shaping an offer. It is not the same as a formal appraisal, which is ordered by the lender. You can request a free CMA on the home valuation page.
